At VOA Northern Rockies, we believe in the potential of every young person. Our Milestones program supports youth facing crises, such as homelessness or family challenges, by providing a safe, structured environment where they can learn to navigate life more effectively. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Youth Mentors.
Why Become a Youth Mentor?
As a Youth Mentor, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding youth aged 10-17 through their journey towards a brighter future. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a structured schedule for residents.
- Providing transportation for school and appointments.
- Supervising activities and ensuring a safe environment.
In your downtime, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities, games, and movie nights, creating memorable experiences that contribute to the personal growth of each resident.

You’ll help them discover that they can break free from their past circumstances and embrace a positive outlook on life. From learning life skills to regulating emotions, your mentorship will empower them to build a better future.

Your Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in youth services or residential care (two years preferred).
- A passion for advocating for youth and supporting their development.
