Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

MAT services are a harm reduction intervention to improve a client’s success in managing addiction. Our MAT services use a team approach consisting of behavioral health and medical providers to treat addiction by using evidence-based practices to manage a client’s behavioral and psychiatric needs.

VOA provides behavioral health treatment services with medication providers to sustain clients’ recovery. We also collaborate with the Wyoming Department of Health to provide funding to help cover the costs associated with these recovery services. MAT services are available to clients with a history of Opioid Use Disorder (including heroin, fentanyl, etc.).

In 2021, approximately 80,411 people died from an overdose involving an opioid.
