Mommy’s Closet is a free crisis resource provider that lends a helping hand to low-income families with children up to the age of five. Families with young children have specific needs that some parents struggle to meet, and Mommy’s Closet provides assistance by supplying necessities to help take care of babies and children. Mommy’s Closet is a safe place for parents to come and problem-solve issues surrounding parenting, housing, education, employment, and general finances.
Mommy’s Closet is now a child safety seat distributer.
Please call for an appointment. Child seats are provided by the State of South Dakota Department of Social Services.
On top of providing diapers, wipes, formula, personal hygiene products and clothing up to size 5T, a Mommy’s Closet caseworker will work with parents to do the following:
- Help them identify barriers to self sufficiency
- Assist them to create success plans
- Provide guidance to families as they stabilize their lives
They also provide access to:
- Referrals for additional assistance
- Case management and client support
- Parenting classes

Mommy’s Closet is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), the only diaper bank on the western side of South Dakota. NDBN is a nationwide network of independently operating diaper banks and pantries that collect and distribute over 30 million diapers for children experiencing diaper need.
