Independence Hall is a 20-bed men’s transitional housing facility for Veterans located in Billings, Montana. The facility operates 24 hours a day and is equipped with a complete kitchen, laundry room, dining area, and living space featuring amenities like a TV area, computer & resource room, conference room, as well as an outdoor area furnished with a BBQ grill and picnic table.
Independence Hall is active in partnering with other community organizations and groups to provide as many resources as possible to help ensure the long-term success of all program participants.
Independence Hall is funded by a grant from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Residents are able to continue receiving treatment through the VA and are given opportunities to participate in activities designed to help them return to independent living and reconnect with the local community.
At Independence Hall, program residents are provided with:
• Weekly case management
• Employment and continued education services
• Outreach services
• Computer and life skill development
• Volunteer opportunities within the surrounding community
