Jennifer Anderson retired May 2017 from Laramie County Community College (LCCC) where she served as the Director of the Nursing Program. She was at LCCC from 2000-2017 and held a variety of positions including Director for nine years. Prior to moving to Cheyenne, she was a part-time Clinical and Administrative Director at Rose Medical Center in Denver. Jennifer has been a nurse for close to 40 years and serves on a variety of boards in the community and region including the advisory committee for Revolutionizing Nursing Education in Wyoming (ReNEW) and the advisory board for the Wyoming Center for Nursing. She enjoys serving in these capacities as it allows her to stay abreast of current nursing education trends. Jennifer also served on the board of directors for Peak Wellness Center for eight years, serving as the Secretary until 2021. Jennifer was raised in Laramie, WY and graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wyoming. She has been married to Stephen Anderson for 36 years. Stephen is a retired C-130 pilot after serving in the Airforce and Wyoming Air National Guard for 28 years. They have lived in Cheyenne for 22 years and have three children, Jocelyn, Matt, and Ben. Although she loves nursing her greatest joy and achievement has been raising children. Jennifer is currently acting as a consultant for nurse educators and enjoys spending time with her grandkids: Henry (3), Samuel (6 weeks), and Jackson (19 months). She is an active member of Cheyenne Hills Church and loves to travel, read, and refinish furniture.
