Mommy's Closet and Other Community Resources
Mommy's Closet is a diaper bank and provider of other necessary resources to parents of children 5 and under. We are open 12-3 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and has 12 Diaper Pantry Partners that dispense diapers and other necessities on our behalf. We will also be operating Mommy's Closet On Wheels in order to provide these resources to communities that may not otherwise have access to our services.
Community Outreach also operates a food pantry with many resources available to those in need. Please get in touch to find out more.
The Community Outreach program at Volunteers of America facilitates the Black Hills Regional Homeless Coalition, which is made up of 35+ homeless provider members. We work together with these members to address the problem of homelessness on individual, community, and social levels. The coalition supports the initiatives of the South Dakota Housing for the Homeless Consortium, operated by the South Dakota Housing Development Authority, on a local level.
