Johnson County Youth & Community Services
Juvenile Probation provides sanctioning options to the courts and accountability for youthful offenders. Ultimately, it provides the opportunity for juveniles to examine current situations, behaviors, and thinking patterns and, ideally, it compels them to choose to make changes for the future, thus, deterring crime. Juveniles and parents participate in the initial interview and intake process. The program is highly structured and juveniles are intensely supervised. Policies, procedures, and oversight are in place to ensure ethical and equitable treatment of juveniles and families. Served: 23 juveniles (6 males, 7 females).
